Kubuds Technology Wins Two OpenCloudOS Ecosystem Awards
On December 6, at the OpenCloudOS Operating System Ecosystem Conference, Shanghai Kubuds Technology Co., Ltd.(abbreviated as Kubuds Tech) and its Co-founder Wu Wei were awarded two important honors: “Outstanding Contribution Unit” and “Outstanding Contributor” respectively.

As one of China’s top three server operating system root communities, the OpenCloudOS Community has now gathered 800 collaborating enterprises and over 150,000 developers, with its installed base exceeding 15 million nodes. This OpenCloudOS Ecosystem Conference, themed “Harnessing Ecosystem Strength, Empowering OS for the Future”, focused on OS ecosystem collaboration, technological innovation, and practical applications in the AI era.

Since joining the OpenCloudOS Community, Kubuds Technology has deeply participated in the preparation of the RISC-V ARCH SIG, including infrastructure support, talent recruitment, and RISC-V adaptation technology advocacy. Leveraging the RISC-V Prosperity 2036 Internship Program, the company has guided the completion of OCS23 adaptation on platforms such as Megrez, UEFI, and OrangePI RV2, assisted in the packaging of OpenCloudOS RISC-V architecture distributions, and promoted OpenCloudOS to achieve full support for mainstream RISC-V chips.

Mr. Wu Wei, Co-founder of Kubuds Technology who won the “Outstanding Contributor” award, also serves as the Manager of RISC-V Prosperity 2036 and RISC-V Ambassador. With years of experience in basic software fields such as compilers and virtual machines, he has led the team to build a full-stack software service system based on RISC-V and open-source technologies, covering core businesses including chip simulation, toolchain development, operating system adaptation, and AI acceleration optimization. Several technical achievements led by him have been successfully applied in industrial scenarios, providing “Kubuds Solutions” for the in-depth integration of domestic chips and operating systems. This personal award is a high recognition of his industry leadership and technical breakthrough spirit.
“Thank you to the OpenCloudOS Community for recognizing Kubuds. This honor affirms our team’s technical capabilities and open-source spirit, and motivates Kubuds to continue its deep cultivation in the field of foundational software,” said Mr. Wu Wei upon receiving the award. He stated that in the future, Kubuds Tech will continue to deepen collaborative innovation with the OpenCloudOS Community, focusing on advancing RISC-V development board adaptation, foundational library optimization, and expansion into vertical domain functionalities, working alongside community partners to foster a more mature and stable operating system ecosystem.
