Recently, Kubuds, a company focused on cutting-edge technology solutions, officially announced its joining of the RuyiSDK Developer Community (RuyiSDK.cn).

As a core member of Kubuds Technology’s open-source projects, Ziyao (@ziyao) will represent the company in the RuyiSDK Community. She will be responsible for sharing Kubuds Technology’s open-source projects, technical practices, etc., conducting in-depth communication and interaction with developers, and actively promoting the development of the community’s technical atmosphere.

Kubuds Technology is a technical team focusing on basic software and open chip ecosystems. After joining, it will actively share its technical experience and insights with other community members, promote the improvement of the community’s overall technical level, and integrate its technical capabilities and services into the RuyiSDK developer ecosystem. At the same time, Kubuds Technology will also use the community’s rich SDK resources and convenient development tools to accelerate the iteration and optimization of its own products, further enhancing its competitiveness in the market.

RuyiSDK is an open-source suite developed by the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is dedicated to providing RISC-V developers with a complete, full-stack, and powerful development toolchain, covering comprehensive support for compilation, debugging, simulation, and more. It is compatible with mainstream RISC-V development boards in the market, offering one-stop services for RISC-V developers. The RuyiSDK Developer Community is a gathering place for RISC-V technology enthusiasts. Kubuds Technology’s joining will further enrich the technical resource library of the RuyiSDK platform, bringing more diverse choices and a more efficient development experience to developers.

In recent years, Kubuds Technology has fully supported open-source communities, contributing to openKylin, OpenCloudOS, and openGauss.

🔶  Kubuds Technology’s Chief Engineer Li Cheng leads the technical team actively participating in the openKylin community and was awarded the openKylin community’s 【2024 Eco-Development Pioneer Award】 . Currently, they are focused on the following work within the ROS SIG, and community participation is welcome: Firstly, completing the porting, adaptation, packaging, release, and basic testing (including RVIZ, TF, SLAM, etc.) of ROS2 Humble core (600+) and ecosystem (300+) software packages, along with their daily maintenance. Secondly, advancing RISC-V fundamental verification, testing 900+ software packages on QEMU and successfully running the Turtle Demo, releasing the openKylin ROS RISC-V preview image, and completing installation and functional testing on development boards. Also, initiating the developer ecosystem by establishing the ROS SIG knowledge base and contribution guide, and jointly recruiting the first 10 community contributors with the RISC-V Prosperity 2036. Finally, continuously adding new functional packages according to vertical fields like unmanned vehicles/robotic arms/drones, expanding the ecosystem and completing application verification on at least one physical product.

🔶  openGauss, a pivotal open-source relational database, currently officially supports only ARM and X86_64 architectures. With key support from Kubuds, openGauss is gradually implementing outcomes from the first RVSPOC championship into mainstream RISC-V hardware vendors. The openGauss riscv SIG has achieved complete adaptation from the lightweight version to the full version, and the adaptation and optimization results are being gradually merged into the community’s main codebase.

🔶 OpenCloudOS is a future-oriented, open, and neutral operating system ecosystem; the OpenCloudOS RISC-V ARCH SIG is committed to co-building and promoting the implementation of OpenCloudOS on RISC-V hardware platforms. In the early stage of the SIG team’s establishment, Kubuds Technology provided technical support and infrastructure; since then, the intern team (RISC-V Prosperity 2036 - J155) led by Sun Min, a senior engineer of Kubuds Technology, has been the backbone of code contributions. Currently, the OpenCloudOS operating system has officially supported the RISC-V architecture; in the future, Kubuds Technology will continue to promote RISC-V development board adaptation and basic library optimization work.

Developers are welcome to visit the RuyiSDK.cn community, follow the latest news of Kubuds Technology, and communicate and learn with technical team members such as Ziyao, Li Cheng, and Sun Min!
