On January 12, 2025, the “RISC-V Ecosystem Laboratory and Open-Source Ecosystem Construction Seminar (2nd Session, 2025)” – hosted by the School of Mathematics, Hefei University of Technology, and co-organized by the PLCT Laboratory – was successfully held in the conference room of the Jade Science and Education Building. Li Weiwei, CEO of Kubuds Technology, was invited to attend the seminar and delivered an online report titled “Current Status and Basic Development of QEMU RISC-V”.

In the report, Mr. Li Weiwei introduced the current status of mainstream RISC-V open-source simulators, especially the development history of QEMU’s support for the RISC-V architecture, and explained in detail QEMU’s current features and basic principles. In addition, Mr. Li Weiwei also looked forward to QEMU’s future applications in the RISC-V field and its development prospects in the community and industry.
